Aside from fandom, I find Kickstarter a better source of worthwhile literature nowadays than bookstore shelves. I mean, the last time I went in a bookstore, I only found one book and was grumbling about the poor selection so much that the Universe panicked and threw me a stuffed axolotl.

If the big-name publishers want to hold a circle jerk, that's their free will, but I'm not particularly entertained by it and have other options.

However, if you can't sell me books in a bookstore? You suuuuuck.
