Lupin and Arthur (not the Potterverse)
-I enjoyed Netflix's "Lupin," a French-language mini-series (five episodes out so far, five more to come later). It's an adaptation of the early-1900s novels, but they still exist ICly. So some of the characters are like "whoa, I think this thief was inspired by the Lupin books" and his colleagues are all like "yeah, yeah, you better read Harry Potter next there might be a clue there too." Some of the reviews I've seen praise it in a kind of "eat your vegetables" way, but I don't think it's necessary to have that mindset to enjoy it. Just be aware that it touches a lot on racism and classism in the context of 2000s France. Also there are a lot of depictions of suicide, staged or otherwise.
-I was looking at some Arthuriana, in the context of setting up a NationStates (fictional soccer teams) roleplay. And I re-discovered that the Latin phrasing of "the once and future king" inscription is "rex quondam, rexque futurus." Quondam!!
