Wheel of Time Season 3, Episode 5: Tel'aran'rhiod

I have plans the next couple days and also had plans this evening so I was not expecting to watch it so soon but then I forgot my wallet, for the second time in a week, like a buffoon (...everything's fine now), so anyway, here we are slightly ahead of schedule.
    • The Aiel doing the full name thing with "Rand al'Thor" :)
    • I know this is derivative of a lot of things, plagiarizing a dozen sources is research, but the "coming home to Cold Rocks Hold" is a lot like the "coming home to the sietch and seeing all the different family structures and social dynamics beyond just the warrior scouts" imagery. And now I'm wondering, who is the Liet Kynes of WoT?
    • "There's nothing I'd like more than to discover the truth." Oh Verin, the consummate Brown. :D
    • Nynaeve puking, a classic.
    • Can Dreamwalkers just fall asleep on a dime? Feels like that'd be a pretty useful skill in other situations, maybe that's just my dumb meatsack complaining.
    • Perrin on his way to mount a rescure while Natti is trying to pickpocket the Whitecloak's keys...if she just freed herself and the girls and left Perrin and his gang all confused that would be classic WoT tbf. No such luck I guess.
    • The aurora imagery with the Sea Folk channeling, beautiful!
    • "Can we trust her?" I was expecting a straight-up flat "no" *proceeds to invite her along anyway*.
    • "I first warned you about dreams years ago." Years? How much time has elapsed since the beginning, including offscreen timeskips?
    • I know everyone's all excited about the Elayne/Aviendha kissing on a ship dream, but I feel obliged to point out that Aviendha would be much more seasick than Nynaeve, Aiel Do Not Understand How To Deal With Oceans.
Book spoilery things:
  • Do we think Verin is using Compulsion on Adeleas to get her to walk the line where she's just giving subtle enough hints?
  • Given that Elaida (probably) isn't Black Ajah, how is she channeling to kill the (already stilled and not a threat) Black sisters? Feels like a violation of the oaths.
  • Alanna is like "I need to go to the Two Rivers because all the strong channelers and/or ta'veren come from here." Dain is like "this one guy from the Two Rivers murdered my father and now the entire town is out to get me." Imagine if Alanna just bonded one of the Whitecloaks here, like "I hate you personally but we need you at the Last Battle so welcome aboard :) " I don't think the bond could prevent him from straight-up killing himself?
