June Reads: When to Rob a Bank (Steven Levitt, Stephen Dubner)

Collection of blog posts from the Freakonomics guys. Since I'd never read their blog, most of it was new to me, and mostly good.

A couple Chicago-specific humorous notes were funny. (Tenure system at University of Chicago, marginal cost at Harold's Chicken Shack--especially funny because I'd seen a weird marginal pricing thing at Applebee's last night.) A food economics guy who wrote a poem in response to the authors' query about the costs of transporting kiwi. And a funny, if sad, tangent about NFL players who carry weapons (machetes or otherwise).
