I'm a Gauvain. A lot of my friends (/colleagues/acquaintances/etc) are Cimourdains. I admire them, because they're cooler and stronger and have more experience than me, and are also probably better at fighting. And we're on the same side! We both want to replace the ancien régime with something better--more liberty and/or equality.
But just like I have a responsibility to sometimes stop philosophizing and take up a sword and jump into the fray, so do they have a responsibility to think about the future they want and not, you know, rendering it impossible.
