Writing status
Aug. 28th, 2020 12:50 pm1. Submissions for a couple themed anthologies opened recently and I feel like one of them would be a good excuse to write a more self-aware "It's A Wonderful Life" type story. If nothing else, that's what I'm in the mood to write at the moment, so that's what's happening.
2. A while back I wrote a space travel story for a different themed submission call and recently got some useful feedback on it. I might use that as a basis to write a different POV for another anthology-type thing?
3. I thought of a second great potential title for the alternate history that I've been struggling with. I think "how easy it is to come up with good titles" is inversely proportional to "how easy is it to write the story."
4. The historical fantasy is set in a location that's usually considered relatively small/not super famous except for this particular facet of history. Of course, it would have to go and get in the news for all the wrong reasons and people are going to be like "well this is tone deaf" "well I wrote it in March..."
Sorry if this sounds like vagueblogging and/or bragging, none of this might actually go anywhere, I just am juggling several different balls and ball-juggling is something to say.
