•  you can unfollow me at any time, I probably won’t know and even if I do I won’t be offended!
• some of my fiction may have themes or implications that not everyone will agree with. It may be the case that I don’t agree with the implications of them because I am creating works of fiction and not ideological manifestos for how I would like the real world to be!
• it may also be the case that sometimes I do agree with the subtexts or messages in a story, but that you might not. If you don’t want to engage with anyone who might possibly disagree with you on some things, you probably will want to unfollow me, because I am not going to agree with you on 100% of every issue, and even if I did, relevant issues and opinions change over time!
• if you disagree with some of the themes in my stories but still want to read and enjoy some of the others, that is okay too! In the same way that I subscribe to people but only read their works in fandom X, you can subscribe to me but roll your eyes at fics you think are dumb. (Admittedly, it’s a little harder to filter those out, but that’s up to you.)
• none of this excuses me from the responsibility I have to not be rude or hostile to other people. If you see me saying offensive or mean-spirited things on dreamwidth dot org or anywhere else, you are allowed and encouraged to yell at me and tell me to get off the internet!
• the absence of rudeness and hostility (see above) is not equivalent to “mindless agreement and allowing people to put words in my mouth.” The absence of rudeness and hostility is, literally, “an absence of rudeness and hostility.” Nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you so much for writing for me! I'm requesting fic for all prompts. I'm also primeideal on Ao3.

 

I think some of these tags are prompts in themselves, so I haven't elaborated on all of them. Please free to use as much or as little as is helpful, mix and match, etc.

 

I have some previous Dear Author letters where I've talked more about some of these fandoms and characters. Though I've written more about some than others, I'd be very happy with a gift for any of them here!

Canonically Dead Parent Survived To Raise Their Children - Elfangor stays on Earth? For how long? What changes? Does Ax ever come, or do the Andalites focus elsewhere?

Magical environment/species conservation scientist au - I'm thinking Cassie here as some kind of magical botanist, and Aftran as a nonhuman creature who she gets stuck with. Or maybe Cassie's working on how to protect the Hork-Bajir with Aftran's reluctant help?

Myst AU - any of these characters tripping around islands or solving puzzles. Is it an Ellimist trick? Did the Time Matrix send Elfangor and Loren somewhere weird? Is Ax unhelpfully trying to eat everything while mentioning he saw a puzzle like this in school (but he was asleep?)

Lupin:
Assane Diop/Youssef Guedira
 

Characters become friends/allies earlier than canon - maybe Guedira is honest about everything at the beginning of Part II, or Assane admits that he figured it out anyway?

Da Vinci Code AU - traipsing around French art museums to solve a murder and/or undercover a religious conspiracy? Yes please.

heist-style story but fantasy setting - setting change into a secondary universe or urban fantasy, either is good!

Murder on the Orient Express fusion - doesn't need to stick too closely to that plot, just mysteries/secret relationships/shenanigans with everyone trapped on a train.

Secret Agents AU but Identity is Continually Blown Due to a Recognizable Butt - if you thought Guedira's friends gave him a hard time before, things are going to be even worse

Soulmarks - mark can be the name of your greatest love or your worst enemy - maybe Guedira doesn't recognize "Assane Diop" as the anagram guy, and even if he does, isn't sure whether they're nemeses or lovers? Or both?

All libraries are connected - the White Tower's archives lead to some other archive (the royal palace? Something in Seanchan? Or feel free to crossover with another universe--Unseen University from Discworld would go great here, or Hogwarts, or whatever!)

canon events are a tabletop role-playing game played by the characters - this would explain a lot about the implausible coincidences and magical power creep, I'm just saying.

Dimension hopping to find a timeline that isn't doomed - sneaking around in Tel'aran'rhiod? Portal stones? The worlds she saw in the Apprentice test?

 

Asmodean:

classical musicians AU - serious business Asmodean stuck with the other Forsaken (or Rand's group of good guys, or the Aiel) who don't take anything seriously.
Marching Band AU - ditto

Good Character Meets Their Evil Counterpart From Another Dimension (or Vice Versa) - I feel like Asmodean was the closest to having a real redemption arc, maybe he uses a portal stone or something like the Rhuidean ter'angreal to meet a different version of himself?
