Thank you so much for this. I love the thoughtful character development as Alex and Kay grow closer. It's a good morning-after-kink story in terms of capturing how that can make you look at things you hadn't examined before, which can be disconcerting.
You also handled the science humor really well. “Exactly how many gradients of intelligence do toasters come in?” is so quintessentially Alex. The issue with different versions of a person, and Alex wondering about her importance, is a core feature of the show.
