primeidealI had to edit one of my novelettes down by about 7% to submit it to a market where I thought it might fit, but somehow I managed to do this without really losing anything of substance. This is a good thing, but also a bad thing in that I'm probably overusing "x and y" phrasings when "x" would suffice in general.
