primeidealOn this date in 1920 (It's still the tenth where I am), Poland got married to the sea. (The Partition of Poland, which was one of the things Feuilly had been outraged about in Les Misérables, had cut Poland off from the Baltic Sea.) This was a variant of Venice's ritual of the same name, and Poland would have similar ceremonies in 1945. There were rings! And oaths!
