extreme pettiness

primeidealThis contest ended a couple months ago, but the winners were just announced publicly the other day. I was following along and voting when the contest was going on in a private forum, so I already knew the winners. In addition I knew that my own submission was not close to being a winner, it did not even make the second round, that's fine, that's how it is.
Anyway, the same day the winners are announced, I get a form letter saying "this story advanced to the semi-finals, unfortunately, it did not advance to the final round..." Um, it did not even advance to the semi-finals. Which, again, is fine, but am I allowed to be bratty that their organizational skills are this chaotic? Like, did all the entrants get that letter?
(The process of posting the entries was fairly erratic too, one group went up early because they weren't able to make the forum private so they just stayed out in advance for several days before locking it and posting a schedule.)
