I recognize this is extreme "nah nah I have a secret and can't tell you" nonsense, but I assure you it's very low-level nonsense. The point is I'm brainstorming ideas for my Yuletide assignment. And what I'm amused by is that this particular canon kind of toys with a certain joke on a couple of occasions. What is remarkable IMO is on how many other occasions they could have leaned into it super hard, in a cheesy way, and showed restraint. Admirable restraint on the creator(s)' part but that's what fic is for...

Anyway, remind me to spell this out more explicitly after reveals.
