- Little Galad addressing Morgase as "Mama!" (In the books, they're step- mother and son, but to their credit, they're both like "yes of course I love Galad [Morgase] the same as my 'real' kids [mother], why wouldn't I, come on.") Adult Gawyn is introduced as the First Prince of the Sword, which suggests that Galad is still a stepson in this version, or if they're both Morgase' bio kids, Gawyn is the elder?
- Okay we're really just trying to Game of Thrones it, huh.
- Morgase' fancy neck piece (in the Hall with Siuan) is quite the sight.
- "Lionfish" is the perfect metaphor because Morgase is all about lion imagery and Siuan is all about fish metaphors.
- So the Waygates are just...fine now? (Later I guess they imply that as long as you're with an Ogier it's okay, but still, power creep.)
- Wait, Ryma is here? Didn't she sacrifice herself for Nynaeve and the others last season? Did we rescue her?
- Now we get the sick Mat plotline, siiiigh. (The "Mat has this incurable dagger curse and we have to get him healed" dragged on pretty long in the early books, I was not a fan.)
- "It would be a strategic advantage"--that's our Elayne :)
- Love the view of the Tower from above, with the little blue dome off to the side!
- Min and Verin teaming up for some deception, nice. I wonder how Min feels about this, given her grudges about being an Aes Sedai puppet in earlier seasons.
- "They all have twelve plots going on." "Yeah, that's completely unlike you." Elayne+Nynaeve's buddy dynamic is great.
- Egwene jumping to tel'aran'rhiod!
- Galad taking advantage of his sparring prowess by having casual sex with novices or Accepted next door to Mat? Book Galad would, in fact, never, he is the acest ace to ever ace.
- Elayne, don't try the crown on, you're tempting fate. Look what happened to Simba.
- How does the whole "I'm sure you'd never be stupid enough to get your portrait painted with the Horn" thing work with the oaths? Sarcasm loophole?
- The gratuitous rival-murdering was a bit much, but I like how it sets up the dynamic of Morgase realizing that in this end-of-the-Age world she can't keep Elayne safe and has to let her make her own decisions. "I learned from the best" could kind of see that coming, but also, awww.
- Does Lanfear have contacts among the Aiel who she tipped off after infiltrating Rand's dreams? (The book-Aiel are mostly, but not entirely, Darkfriend-free.) Or was it the Wise One seeing Egwene who realized "oh no, wetlanders?"

Maybe she didn't know already that they had done it but figured it was something Mat would certainly do out of vanity?
