- It takes a lot of work to think of nothing--yeah :/
- The blood of the lamb imagery, quite the iconography
- "Change comes like an avalanche"--I know the show has done very well so far in depicting the different cultures, but girl, do you even know what an avalanche is? A rockfall, a desert storm, something.
- Moiraine :handshake: Luke--I saw a city in the clouds.
- Couladin and Sevanna are complaining about how Rand isn't an Aiel. If Rhuidean kills him then...great, problem solved from their POV? Seems a pretty weak objection.
- Moiraine and the self-fulfilling prophecies, this is directly from the books, but eurgh, still not a fan.
- Moiraine and Egwene clearly not having realized the Wise Ones could channel until they do. I checked and yes, this is directly from the books, there's a lot of details I don't necessarily remember.
- The line of spears of people who never came back. :/
- "we've been connected since before I was born" the infodumping is a lot, but seeing how everything plays out in the flashbacks for me works a lot better than the self-fulfilling prophecies. Your mileage may vary.
- Rand :handshake: Luke--big NO. (The icon for this post was a random choice.)
- Latra Sedai--the same one who was Lews Therin's foil? Is she about 500 years old now? (In the books, Aes Sedai from the Age of Legends lived longer than the current Aes Sedai, I don't think this is going to be a thing in the show necessarily.)
- "Oathbreakers" this hits hard after the Laman backstory :/
- Lewin and his two bros are very reminiscent of Rand, Mat, and Perrin.
- The "rotating timelines" thing for the flashes through Moiraine's possible futures is a great way to visualize this.
- I like the concrete floor and skyscraper aesthetics of the Age of Legends, I think people have hyped up the Forsaken as representing this different technological era but I don't think that comes across very well. This is better.
- Young Latra Posae has a Leia Organa look.
- Shoutouts to the casually bi (?) Aiel couple (presumably he's going to have kids with a woman at some point, I'll assume things are still relatively loving and happy and consensual at this point in the timeline.)
- "You might as well spend time with your family"--nice parallel to 2.4 where Lanfear is like "nobody ever has enough time, we might as well make the most of things while we can."
- Not specific to the adaptation but--in some ways it's useful that the car'a'carn wasn't raised Aiel. The visions of the columns break a lot of people; having someone without that cultural attachment to a warrior identity makes it easier to cope with, in some ways. (Of course, that doesn't account for what's gonna happen next.)
