I'm consuming a canon that has so many characters and details that I'm kind of tempted to create an immense family tree/timeline, not because I'm particularly fannish about it, but just because it's there, and it would be funny to say "ah, of course, A and B are second cousins on one side and half-cousins on the other..."

And it reminds me that in even before fandom-specific wikis and stuff, one of the most meticulously cited reference sources I had was a reference/"encyclopedia" for the frickin' Baby-Sitters' Club, of all things. Like, nobody ever aged, status quo is god, but bleep if that book didn't have citations for every families' kids and names and biographical details. Baby me loved that thing. /autistic details appreciator
