-In one of the dream sequences Ba'alzamon taunts Rand by saying his parents were chosen and manipulated by Aes Sedai. This is...not really true overall? Tigraine yes, with the Foretelling, but Tam and Janduin definitely not. Between that and Kari's appearance at the end I wonder if there was a plotline there that was dropped/edited, or if that was just evil lying for the sake of being evil.
-There's a nice Nynaeve character moment shortly after that I might use for fic purposes, but probably not until I've gotten to an important moment for her much later in the series.
-More likely to be a ficlet soonish: AU where Perrin and Egwene do get overrun by the ravens, because apparently my id enjoys Perrin's angst about "what if I had to mercy kill her, welp." It's good to know one's kinks.
-Loial doesn't recognize the names of places like Fal Dara. I get that it's implausible enough for everyone to be speaking the same language, but shouldn't he be speaking like the "King James dialect" of the common speech? (And maybe Moiraine is used to dealing with this because she hangs out with centenarian Aes Sedai all the time.)
