primeidealMe yesterday: If someone tries to put words in your mouth, stop and think before complying with them; you don't want to mindlessly accept anyone's phrasing, because slippery slopes are bad and so are euphemism treadmills.
Me today: Euphemism treadmills are not real because we have already gone as far as we can go. We found the worst one. There are some speed bumps in a residential area near where I live, and the sign that warns for them announces "Traffic Calming Ahead." Changing speeds does not calm me! It makes me more anxious! Driving is already very scary!!
