primeidealSeriously, major spoilers below! And I’ll admit it could be mostly wishful thinking at this point, but a couple things I had thoughts about that were too spoilery for my main reactions post:
1. We got to see Tigraine, so we know what she looks like. Now, obviously, she’s not going to be a frequent recurring character. But! One advantage of TV over books is that if she shows up again, even if the characters don’t know who she is, we will (those of us who aren’t faceblind anyway, heh). So, if the Tigraine | Shaiel = Nakomi = Calian the Chooser theory (which I cannot take any credit for but think is awesome) holds, wouldn’t it be neat if we get a cameo of her at the very end (with or without a bonus Aviendha in Tel’aran’rhiod meeting)?
2. Min’s vision of Rand is him holding and rocking a baby. Now, this could be something as simple as “he will get at least one woman pregnant and she will have kids,” or they could even mess around with the timelines so that his and Elayne’s kids are born before the Last Battle. But. The vision isn’t just of Rand’s baby, but of Rand taking care of the baby. Dare I believe that we will actually get father-Rand with his kids, ie, a platonic relationship linking him to the rest of the world that isn’t just his girlfriends? And if so, isn’t that a very strong reason to assume he will return to form connections with them instead of noping off into whatever? Again, this is mostly just me hoping, but...I can dream!
