I recently read "Doomsday Book" and expected a twist that never came (partly because of skimming ahead, I'll concede), so this fic is "here's what I thought we were foreshadowing." Which in my opinion would have been a little more engaging than "will the protagonist be rescued, hmmmm let's find out."

Also, why did nobody ever tell me this book had change ringing, I would have been into it years ago!
